Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? ( lit. Is this a Zombie?) or Koreha Zombie Desuka? is a Japanese light novel series by Shinichi Kimura, with illustrations by Kobuichi and Muririn. The series' title is officially abbreviated as Korezom (???? Korezon?).[1] As of January 2011, seven volumes have been published by Fujimi Shobo under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko label. There are currently three different manga adaptations based on the universe of Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? being serialized. An anime adaptation produced by Studio Deen began airing in Japan from January 11, 2011.

Plot
Ayumu Aikawa is a zombie resurrected by a necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe after being killed by a serial killer. As he tries to make the best of his undead life, he encounters a maso-shojo named Haruna and inadvertently takes her magic powers, being forced to become a maso-shojo in the process. With Eucliwood, Haruna, and a vampire ninja named Seraphim living with him, Ayumu helps battle demons known as Megalos while trying to figure out the mystery behind his own death.
Main Characters
Ayumu Aikawa
The main protagonist of the Light Novel, Manga and Anime. He was murdered by a serial killer and and brought back to life as a zombie by Eucliwood Hellscythe, a Necromancer of the underworld. The Necromancer now resides with him, while he attempts to track down the killer who murdered him.
Haruna
A "Masou" Shoujo (pun on the word mahou shoujo meaning magic equipment girl rather than magical girl) from a magic world. She lost her magical powers to Ayumu. She is now a freeloader at Aikawa house.
Eucliwood Hellscythe
Eucliwood, called 'Eu' for short, is a necromancer who brought Ayumu back to life to be her guard and has been living with him since. She doesn't talk, instead communicating through written notes, mostly pertaining to her appetite. It is shown that she does care about Ayumu even though she considers him to be her servant. She does not like people talking about death or telling them to go die. Ayumu often daydreams about her speaking in a cutesy manner.
Seraphim
Seraphim, 'Sera' for short, is a vampire ninja, who combines her katana skills and ninja reflexes with her vampire powers to fight her enemies. She comes to Ayumu's house to serve Eucliwood, but is refused, so she ends up being Ayumu's servant in hopes she can change her mind. She is rather cold towards Ayumu, constantly calling him "a piece of shit".
